Quantity Surveyor

Why this role matters

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring our construction projects are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with contractual and commercial requirements. You will support the financial success of projects by managing costs, monitoring budgets, preparing valuations, and maintaining commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.

What will the job look like

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BoQs).
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow throughout project execution.
  • Measure completed works and prepare interim valuations and payment applications.
  • Review, evaluate, and certify subcontractor and supplier invoices, variations, and final accounts.
  • Support tender preparation, pricing, and commercial evaluations.
  • Monitor project expenditure and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications, and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate commercial records, reports, and project documentation.
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, Finance, subcontractors, and clients to support successful project delivery.
  • Assist with the preparation and negotiation of claims, variations, and final accounts.

What makes you a great fit

Must-Have Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control, quantity measurement, and cost reporting.
  • Experience preparing Bills of Quantities (BoQs), valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction cost management software.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel

Good-to-have Skills

  • Experience working on residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use construction projects.
  • Knowledge of FIDIC or other standard forms of construction contracts.
  • Experience with procurement and subcontract administration.
  • Understanding of local construction regulations and industry practices in Cyprus.
  • Knowledge of value engineering and commercial risk management.
  • AI literacy, including the ability to effectively utilise AI-powered tools to enhance productivity, data analysis, reporting, and commercial decision-making.
  • Membership (or working towards membership) of a recognised professional body such as RICS or CIOB.
